Small home world
I just tried the small world trait - it sucks rocks.

If you take it, you only get 8 population, even if there is room on your other planets. You lose 8 people versus someone that doesn't take this trait (!).

I tried it in an advanced empire game, figuring the population would just get shifted to the other planets.

If you are going to get penalized by both a small home world, AND starting out with 8 fewer population, -3 is not enough compensation. -6 would be more like it.

Starting with -8 population by itself, even keeping your starting large terran, should be at least a -3 point trait!

Recommendation:
1. Make the "small" homeworld "medium", and/or
2. Shift population around so you start with max filled planets. You'd still be down people in a normal age game (and no sane person would take this).
