A few hopefully simple suggestions
Really enjoying the game so far, but I have a couple of hopefully simple suggestions to add to the overall feel of the game:

1) Add a few more pictures for races, so you can have a different race icon for a custom race.

2) Add a few more races so you don't have an half or more of your AI opponents being the same race. At a minimum, if you have three AI opponents, there should be one of each AI race first before you start having duplicates.

3) In the old Master of Orion, there was a recommended number of AI opponents per galaxy size. Would like to hear the designers recommendation or have the game default (changeable by the player) to the standard number of AI opponents per galaxy size.

4) Some sort of civlopedia button, so you can access information on the various elements of the game. If not in the game itself, on a wiki on this site.

5) Post the tech tree somewhere so we can see the way to key techs.

6) Random events, beyond exploring a system for the first time. Do something to shake things up. Raiders, economic issues, loss of a structure, pop boom, etc. The random events keep the game from becoming too cookie cutter. Allow the option to turn off random events.

Hope some of that helps and isn't too hard to accomplish.

Kane

Some great ideas. I like the idea of random events.

It'd be probably too much work, but like with Imperium Galactica 2, I'd love to see trader ships...even if its a few blipping pixels...move around from system to system once you've teched to the trading port.

Just realized that there's a limit to three Ai opponents no matter how large the galaxy. A little disappointing as more competition makes for a tougher game.

One new thought, how about a rampaging barbarian/space viking fleet as a random encounter. Not aligned with the AI and could attack any planet, but focuses on lighter defended colonies. Similar to Firefly's Reavers or the Antarans from MOO.

Unfortunately, we had to limit this due to the limitations of the platform. Waiting 30 seconds each turn due to AI processing gets boring real fast.

As the platform, and the game, evolves we will increase the number of players allowed.

Definitely.

This was planned, but didn't make it in before release. Expect it in a future update.
